India Gate
The 42 meter high arch was raised as a memorial to soldiers who
laid down their lives in the Great war.It is now a monument to the
unknown soldiers.
Laxmi Narayan Temple
Built in the Orisan style,the temple is a fine example of modern
Indian temple archtecture.
RedFort
Built with red sandstone,which gives it its name,the fort is one
of the best surviving Mughal monuments.It was built by Emperor Shah
Jehan in 1638 AD.
JamaMasjid
the largest mosque in india,it was also built by Shah Jehan.
Bahai Temple

Jantar Mantar
The unique observatory with masonry instruments was designed by
astronomer-king Sawai Jai Singh II of jaipur in 1724 AD.

A fine example of later Mughal architecture(1753-54 AD)
Rashtrapati Bhawan
Standing on Raisina Hill,it was built by the British as the residence
of the Viceroy of India.It is the official residence of the President
of India.The massive building is surrounded by 330 acres of land
and one of the finest gardens of the country.
Shamsi Talab & Jahaz Mahal
site of an important festival,the water reservoir and the chhatri
were built in 1230 AD.
Purana Qila or Old Fort
The fort built on a hill besides the river Yamuna by Afgan ruler,Sher
Shah Suri(1538-45),has also yielded some 3 rd century BC arteacts.
Humayun's Tomb
This fine monument is belived to be the fore-runner of the famous
TajMahal of Agra.
Hauz Khas & Deer Park
Feroz Shah's tomb is located here.The water reservoir built by Allauddin
Khilji,after which the place is named,no longer survives.
Feroz Shah Kotla
The Delhi foundedby Feroz Shah Tughlaq in 1354 AD.
Zoo
One of the finest Zoological parks in the country.It houses, besides
some other exotic species in large open enclosures,the largest number
of white tigers.
Tughlaqabad
Ghyas-ud-din Tughlak's Delhi(14th Century AD)is noted for the stark
and powerful fort and remains of some palaces and his tomb.
Shrine of Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia
The marble tomb was raised in honour of a Sufi Saint,Nizamuddin Chisti,who
died in 1325 AD.
Lodi Tomb
Standing amidst extensive landscape gardens are the tombs of the Lodi
Dynasty.
